Florida Vocal Association names Michael Dye as their new Executive Director

The FVA Board has selected Michael Dye to serve as the association’s next Executive Director. He will work alongside J. Mark Scott for the next year, officially assuming the responsibilities of the position on July 1, 2021.

Mr. Dye retires this year from Niceville Senior High School after a distinguished career as a choral music educator. He is a past president of the Florida Vocal Association and the Florida School Music Association, is a member of the FVA Hall of Fame, and is the current FMEA Secondary Music Educator of the Year, among numerous other awards and accolades.

Congratulations and welcome to your new role, Mr. Dye! We look forward to your continued leadership and service to the choral teachers and students of Florida!
